DEAREST FAMILY, 

First things first... let's get this out of the way quickly. I SWORE. Yes you heard right I SWORE! A missionary from Holladay, Utah right?? You don't expect that or see that coming from a girl but MISSIONARIES AREN'T PERFECT. Who did I swear to you might ask?? PRESIDENT HALL! of all people!!!  I think I'm probably the first missionary in history to swear in front of their mission president. We were just simply talking about subway sandwiches, simple harmless, not sure why. I start rhyming... THE GRAND SLAMMER JAMMER ****. both of our faces just went bright red. I was like, "President, no I promise I don't swear. I didn't mean to! I'm so sorry!" He's like, "I'm emailing the parents right now! So glad to know someone has a mouth around here." He was giving me such a hard time! SO EMBARRASSING. WHYYYY!! 

Next big news... we got a new comp from Quintana Roo Mexico, (right by Cancun) She's a temple square sister and gets to serve in the best mission in the world for 2 months. I LOVE HER SO MUCH! Hna. Ruiz. She is learning English and it's the cutest thing! and I make her give me words of the day in Spanish. like libelula DRAGONFLY WHO KNEW!! we get along so well and we are having so much fun! Any comment I have like today, "I love the smell of horse poo." (in the cutest accent) "you are so American." that's always her response to everything!

Bestest news yet. ERLIN GOT BAPTIZED!!! HE'S SO AWESOME!! Thursday night he had his interview. Just so excited to get baptized. Friday night he comes to the ward fathers day party in his church clothes. Very embarrassed when he saw everyone was in their jeans but he got over it. THE FATHERS DAY PARTY WAS OFF THE HIZZ HOUSE! They got a real live band just for fathers day! They have no idea what's coming for 4th of July! But Erlin at the party whispers to me, "Hermana, I have my tithing in my pocket. I'm really just so excited to pay it. Can I do it now or should I wait till after my baptism?" CAN YOU PLEASE GO TEACH ANTONIO??? 

Saturday comes around. His member friend that got him a job was like we have to go work today but he will be home in time for 5:30 baptism. It's 4:30 and I've got 2 toes in the font to feel if it's warm and the other 2 trying to answer the phone that says ERLIN IS CALLING! I answer and he's like frantic talking so fast. I flip off the water to hear him. "hermanita I can't do this today. I haven't even got home from work today. The work guys dropped me off at Walmart 30 minutes away and i'm walking home. I haven't showered. Someone in the ward texted me to bring white underwear and a towel. I DON'T HAVE THAT! My brothers and I just got in a fight. They said they were coming to the baptism but they aren't anymore. I'm just so stressed. Tell everyone we will do this tomorrow. WHITE UNDERWEAR. WHERE DO I BUY THAT?" I'm like, "Erlin, let's take a quick step back and look at this in the big picture. Nothing else matters. You don't need anything special. Just come here and we will have everything ready. Don't be stressed. Don't be nervous. That is satan. He knows this is the most important day of your life. Just calm down and come to the church." "ok I will come in 30 minutes" 

WHEN THE SKY IS FALLING YOU KNOW YOU ARE CLOSE. We are frantically trying to find bishop with the keys to the library to print off the programs. Everyone was there just waiting. It's like 6:30 and HE STILL HASN'T COME! If one more person asked, "is he coming?" i was gunna lose it! We went outside and knelt down and prayed and i'm pretty sure the people in heaven are like what could make this more dramatic?? hmmmm CUE THE POURING RAIN! His member friend Hno. Alecio was like hnas he called me and says he wants to do this he just feels so stressed and scared today but i'll talk to him. In the mean while hna. mayne and I picked off every leaf of the freshly pruned bush. SO NERVOUS. 7 o'clock he finally shows up! (favorite part this little old lady walks out of this dark room like she had just had herself a good hour nap, "he's here!!" He walks in, "LETS DO THIS!" THAT'S THE ERLIN I KNOW!!!! whoott whoottt. fist pump the heavens. fist pump mimi!  I hand him a 2xl jumpsuit. He looked like a straw in a king size bed. SOO BIG! But it was the most beautiful baptism. He was like wooooowwww now I understand why my other baptism wasn't right without the authority. I actually feel like a child today. Completely clean! I AM FREE FROM ALL SIN TODAY! He was so excited and he wanted Cristian to speak at his baptism. they are pretty good friends both from Nicaragua and it was just sooo cool to see how far Cristian has come. The testimony he bore for Erlin! such a special day! I NEVER WANT TO FORGET ALL THE FEELINGS YOU FEEL AT A BAPTISM! IT IS SOOO BEAUTIFUL! 

mom... hate to say it but I grilled up some key lime cupcakes you send me for st. pattys day. BY ALL MEANS it was all we had! I think I probably gave everyone the green poops till next easters but thats ok! 

HAPPIEST DAYS EVER!!! I LOVE BEING A MISSIOANRY AND ERLIN IS COMING TO TEACH WITH US TONIGHT AND WE ARE GOING TO THE TEMPLE JULY 2! WHOOOOO THE GOSPEL IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO STINKIN COOL!
