Hey fam! how's everyone doing in Holladay today? Things here in Houston are amazing! just here on the laptops with my FAV librarian. She has a cute tattoo that says JXDX love... not sure what it means just LOVE HER! This week was so cool soo soo cool! Elder Robbins came for our Mission Leadership Council on Thursday and I'm still mind blown. He said that the lessons that we learn as missionaries are lesson you couldn't learn anywhere or in any other way. And it's sooo true. I could never learn the things I'm learning in stinky old UTAH or cute little UVU but only here in Houston. So here's some of the classes I'm taking at TEXAS LIFE LESSONS UNIVERSITY... First off, I'm trying to major in Christ like attributes but man 4 words KICK IN THE PANTS! and then i'm going to minor in mothering.
First class, I've got FAITH1010- My professor is the best in the world. his "rate my professor"- ALL A THOUSAND STARS! He's the only begotten, he suffered EVERYTHING just so he could succor me! He's so easy to trust and as soon as we become better acquainted with him, we get better grades!
Next down the hall LOVE2040- i laugh when i think about before the mission. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT LOVE WAS. I think my heart might just burst right now. I love these people so so much. Every night when I pray for them I just want this so badly for all my little best friends here in houston. But mostly my professor just shows me how much he loves me. Everyday he shows me just little tiny pockets of his love. Whether it's the free donuts the women gave me at shipley, or the words he puts in my mouth to testify of him, or the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. I know he loves me and he loves all of you! i feel it, i see it, and i know it!
MARRAIGEPREP1050- whoooooooooossssssiieeeeeee have i learned alot about marriage. With each companion i've learned something about myself. How to react. How to love. How to compromise. Pres says exactly how I treat my companions I will treat my eternal companion. Elder Robbins only talked about marriage on thurs. EKKKK DISGUSTING! I'm terrified of marriage. It's just about the scariest thing now after seeing so many lets say off the cliff ones. But one thing I've learned and something Elder Robbins said that will save a companionship or marriage is... rule 1- your companion is always right. rule 2 -when you think they are wrong re-read rule one.
I remember Hna. K's and my first fight... imagine this. Sitting around a plastic table studying for our investigators. She has her head down just done for the day. I'm frantically flipping through scripts. Finally I flip to Mosiah 14. I'm like whoooww this is perfect i read it and she's like, "great that's great. That's perfect. Lets go" I'm like, "you hate it! I know you do! You hate mosiah 14!" we then just had to talk it through.... MOSIAH 14 GOT US GOOD! learning alot about marriage folks!

DRAMA1050 WITH EVERY HISPANIC!!! Erlin our new investigator is HILARIOUS! so dramatic. only English he knows is from Titanic so you can only image how dramatic that gets! "dont let go!" "I'm never gunna leave you!" he is so cool. I feel like we are teaching a less active. Anything we teach him he just gets! He's so excited to get baptized. He has a date for june 19th and his mom called him yesterday and was like, "Erlin, I had a dream of you in water. It wasn't a lake or the ocean but you were in water and these men in white were cleaning you off." He's like, "mom that's because I'm getting baptized in two weeks!" We are helping him stop smoking and it's hard because all his friends live with him are not helping. But we of course go to the scrip dogs and I was like "ERLIN, YOU ARE NEPHI. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO LEAVE, ABORT, ABANDON, JERUSALEM." He then got all his friends on the porch and was like, "guys I'm quiting, you have to help me! I've made the decision and I'm stopping!" Hermanas come to my house tomorrow morning and pray with me then come back at 3 and pray with me again. then at 7 we will go to the church for english class." so we wake up the next morning and head to his house at 7 and I'm like man I shouldn't doubt him but I don't think he will be up... OH ME OF LITTLE FAITH! He throws open the door (not sure if he thought he was the star of bye bye birdie or High school musical) and just yells, "I'M LEAVING JERUSALEM." He's been doing awesome and came to church yesterday and our member friend for him got him a job with him!! SO COOL HOW MUCH THE MEMBERS HELP!! pray for Erlin!

so many great life lessons I am learning! I LOVE THE MISSION!! WE HAVE A MINI MISSIONARY WITH US THIS WEEK! SHES A DOLL AND A JUNIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL! WE LOVE HER! WELLLLLLLLLLLL LOVE YOU FAMILY!
